Key achievement to date:
Sixteen participants from three countries in
the Eastern Mediterranean Region were trained
in tobacco control mass media
communications. Participants were from
national and local governments and from
non-government organizations. The
training covered paid media or advertising
communications, such as television ads, as well
as earned media, or working with reporters and
the media to spread tobacco control
messages.
