Objective
1: To repeat and reinforce the
second-hand smoke health harms messages
previously conveyed in the 2008 Smoke-Free
Beijing campaign.
Major accomplishments to date:
- From May-July 2009, three
previously-produced ads ("Smoke-Free Office,"
"Stubs," "Sponge") were broadcast on 14,000
City TV indoor LED screens in shopping and
commercial centers, office and government
buildings, hospitals.
- The ads, along with "Giving Cigarettes Is Giving Harm," were aired in over 1,000 community centers in 18 districts from April-May 2009.
- From April-June 2009, 100 "Stubs"
OOH billboards were displayed at bus stops
around Beijing, supported by 100 "Stubs"-themed
bus interiors. In May and June 2009,
additional OOH billboard posters were added in
60 subway stations across the
city.
