Sixty percent of these children suffer from persistent forms of the disease, many have trouble breathing almost daily and are unable to perform many basic physical activities. As in many developing countries, Kenya’s asthma patients lack quality care, primarily due to inadequate diagnoses and inability to obtain preventive drug therapy.
