NYC Half-Marathon presented by Nike
WLF is proud to match runners' contributions dollar-for-dollar* to provide hundreds of life-saving inhalers for asthmatic children at WLF-supported programs in Kenya and other low-income countries. In the United States, asthma is considered a treatable chronic disease. In other countries it is a fatal condition, and will kill over 200,000 people this year worldwide.In order to secure a WLF guaranteed entry into the 2008 NYC Half-Marathon Presented by NIKE, runners agree to guarantee a minimum contribution of $1,000 to the World Lung Foundation’s mission and may raise money towards this minimum by having contributions made in their honor through the WLF website.
